Dr. Kathryn Frye
Dr. Kathryn Frye was born and raised in Davidson County, the daughter of Dr. Sarah Frye and Chuck Frye. She graduated from the University of Carolina at Chapel Hill, double majoring in biology and music with a minor in chemistry. While a student at UNC, she continued to engage in her lifelong passion for horses as a member of the equestrian team, serving as captain her senior year. Her music major gave her the opportunity to participate in the student opera productions, as well as Carolina Choir and Chamber Singers.
Following her undergraduate education, Dr. Frye attended the East Carolina University School of Dental Medicine, graduating with a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. She has returned to Lexington to join in her mother’s practice. Dr. Frye is active in the community as a member of the choir and youth leader at First Baptist Church. She is a member of the American Dental Association®, the Davidson County Dental Society and the North Carolina Dental Society. Recently, she became a “dog mom” with the adoption of a German Shepherd puppy, Friedrich.
Sarah E. Frye, DDS
For over 35 years, Dr. Frye has built a dental practice that brings the best and most advanced care dentistry has to offer to Lexington. She has invested in technology that allows her to give patients information about their health and many options for obtaining a functional dentition and beautiful smile. Along with the technology, Dr. Frye has continued her dental education and is currently a member of the Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation, the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, the American Dental Association, the North Carolina Dental Society and High Point Study Club. She has been recognized by the Continental Who’s Who Registry of Professionals and The Leading Physicians of the World.
In addition to knowledge and advanced technology and procedures, Dr. Frye believes that the most important thing a dental practice must provide for patients is a well-trained, compassionate team. Each member of the team shows their knowledge and concern for our patients every day, endeavoring to make the experience pleasant and comfortable.
Although she was born and raised in Raleigh, Dr. Frye has called the triad home since her days as a student at Wake Forest University. After obtaining her BA in biology, she attended the UNC School of Dentistry. She would later earn certifications in CEREC one-appointment crowns, conscious sedation, and Invisalign® clear aligners. Dr. Frye and her husband moved to Lexington shortly after their marriage and built the Professional Building at One Weaver Drive in 1991 to house their respective dental and law practices. They have two children — Charlie, an attorney practicing in Washington, DC, and Kathryn.
Dr. Frye has volunteered her time and skills to several groups, including the Davidson County Medical Ministry, Baptist Men’s Dental Bus, Give Kids A Smile and MOM Clinics. In her free time, Dr. Frye enjoys gardening, reading mysteries and enjoying music. She is a soloist with several choirs in Davidson County and has spent many years promoting music in our community.

Julie, a native to Rowan County, traveled the world with her father’s Marine career. Because her parents grew up in Rowan County, her family returned to the triad in 1987.
